America - Country of the Month

God has shown me that there is a great spiritual battle raging over America. I love and honor America, a Christian nation. In this newsletter I hope and pray that the facts I share will cause your hearts to fall more deeply in love with America. My dreams and prayers are that each American will return to their first love in Jesus Christ. I pray that our Nation will return to the Christian faith our our Forefathers. Once again putting God and the Word of God first in our hearts. I pray that Christian love and prayers will win the battle over America.

February celebrates America! President's day is February 20th. George Washington's birthday is February 22nd. Abraham Lincoln's birthday is February 12th. Pray for our Presidents. Christopher Columbus originally came to America to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The year was 1492. In that same year Columbus sailed from Spain to America to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a little known fact that is left out of American history books.

In 1630 Governor John Winthrop fled England in search of religious freedom. He was Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony from 1630 to 1644. His famous speech in 1630 laid the first biblical and Christ centered foundation in America. In 1814 Francis Scott Key composed the "Star Spangled Banner." This patriotic song became our official national anthem in 1931 by an act of Congress. Francis Scott Key's song became a vital part of American history. "Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, and this be our motto, in God we trust."

The Pledge of Allegiance to our flag was first composed by Frank Belamy in 1892. In 1954 "One Nation under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance by congressman Louis-Rabaut. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God with liberty and justice for all."

There were many great moments in American history and many great heroes. Fanny Crosby was an American hero who changed the course of church and American history. Mrs. Crosby wrote over 9,000 Christian songs and hymns. She was born March 24th, 1820 in Putnam county, New York. She became blind at six weeks of age and remained blind for the rest of her life. One of her most well known songs is "Blessed Assurance Jesus is Mine." December the 15th, 1791 the first Amendment to the Constitution guaranteed every American the right to 1. Freedom of Speech, 2. Freedom of Religion, 3. Freedom of the Press, 4. Freedom of Assembly, and 5. Freedom of Petition.

The States in America declare the glory of God. Florida's state motto is "In God we Trust." This was adopted in 1868. The Ohio state motto is "With God all things are Possible." This was adopted in 1959 and is taken from Matthew 19:26. Arizona's state motto is "God Enriches." This was adopted by Richard McCormick in 1864. South Dakota's motto which is "Under God the People Rule" was adopted in 1885 by Dr. Joseph Ward.

America was founded as a Christian Nation. Our Forefathers proclaimed Jesus Christ as the foundation of America. President George Washington said "to the distinguished character of a patriot, it should be the our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian." - Valley Forge - May 2nd, 1779. "What students would learn above all else is the religion of Jesus Christ." (1779) Patrick Henry (the symbol of our American Revolution) said "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great Nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians. Not on religions but on the Gospels of Jesus Christ."    --   Jonathan Studer

Our purpose and mission are to encourage others to become involved in ministry in one form or another. We hope to excite you and stir your spirit so that you will get involved. Records Broken!

Praise the Lord! The record was broken for our Christian sign holding ministry on December the 7th. A record 814 cars honked for Jesus at the intersection of Route 19 and Northcliffe Blvd. in Spring Hill, Florida! 8 wonderful Christians carried 8 Christian message themed signs giving God much glory. We honor and give special thanks to John Simmons, Lori Allen, Billy Allen, Grace Allen, Sam Castrell, Joseph Lake, Theodore Robinson and Jonathan Studer. Pray that the Lord blesses them richly for standing for over 3 hours in the wind, dust and heavy traffic to give Jesus praise.

Our Christian sign holding ministry wants YOU! If you want to join us in holding up Christian signs on Wednesday morning call Jonathan at 352-428-7612. The signs carry such messages as: "Honk if you Love Jesus", "Smile God Loves You", and "Accept Jesus as Your Savior." It is a great joy to be able to hold signs that point the way to Jesus Christ. It is a privilege and an honor to be able to lift up the holy Name of Jesus and we want anyone who will to join us in doing so.

Kim Howe and children Grace, Nathanael, and Sarah came out to join us in holding signs for Jesus on December 28th. Along with them there was Lori Allen, Linda Pampanet, John Simmons, Joseph Lake and Jonathan Studer for a record of nine people who held up the Name of Jesus! This was a record number of sign holders for a single day, praise the Lord!

Missions Abroad

John and Nikki Garrett are missionaries who are sponsored by this church. They are genuinely reaching the forgotten tribes in Tanzania, Africa. They are accomplishing great things for the Kingdom of God while being empowered by His Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ gave His church a Great Commission, not a Great Suggestion. These are two people who are doing their best to fulfill that Great Commission. They need our help.

Their email address is Africanfive@gmail.com. Their Facebook page is at: http://www.facebook.com/JohnNikkiGG . You can Twitter them at: http://fr.twitter.com/AfricanJohnny . They have an ongoing blog at: http://kigomatanzania.blogspot.com . Other information, such as where to send donations to, are included in the graphics below.

This missionary outreach is definitely one that God is using in a powerful way to reach lost souls while ministering to them in meeting their needs in this world also. Any gifts of any size will go a long way and help many people. I would ask you to pray about giving to these precious people. God will honor that gift, and bless the giver. Thank you.

Good Word for the Day

True love stands strong through all trials. True love remains when faults and failures have come and gone. True love never dies. True love forgets, forgives, and restores. True love is very rare, even among Christians because these are the days of falling away. Those who truly love Him possess His true love. His love never changes and what He is will never change.

What is Personhood?

On January 22nd, 1973 abortion was legalized. Personhood is fighting against abortion. Their battle against this horrible crime against humanity continues.

Personhood is the cultural and legal recognition of the equal and unalienable rights of human beings.

“Nothing is unchangeable but the inherent and unalienable rights of man.”

Thomas Jefferson

When the term “person” is applied to a particular class of human beings, it is an affirmation of their individual rights. In other words, to be a person is to be protected by a series of God-given rights and constitutional guarantees such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This terrifies the pro-abortion foes!

They know that if we clearly define the preborn baby as a person, they will have the same right to life as all Americans do!

This then also begs the question, is every human being a person?

There is a very real sense in which the need to answer this second question is, in itself, an absurdity.

If you look up the word "person" in your average dictionary (we'll use Webster's), you'll find something like this: "Person n. A human being."

"After fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being. It is no longer a matter of taste or opinion...it is plain experimental evidence. Each individual has a very neat beginning, at conception."

Dr. Jerome Lejeune, "Father of Modern Genetics"

A person, simply put, is a human being. This fact should be enough. The intrinsic humanity of unborn children, by definition, makes them persons, and should, therefore, guarantee their protection under the law.

Personhood holds the key to filling the “Blackmun Hole,” a startling admission in the Roe v. Wade majority opinion:
